Dark and Distorted Vase

I used terra sigillata (or terra sig), which means "sealed earth," and an old Roman technique of applying a clay and water slip before firing, to give this vase a deep, dark matte finish, then used a rolling pin to distort the shape.  It almost evokes fabric. Interior is glazed with glossy black for contrast.
